In mid-August, I had the honor of photographing a truly unforgettable surprise proposal near Austin at Camp Lucy in Dripping Springs, Texas. Nestled less than an hour from Austin, Camp Lucy offers a breathtaking blend of vineyards, charming chapels, elegant accommodations, and romantic outdoor spaces — making it a dream location for a proposal.

The groom-to-be reached out to me with the sweetest plan in mind. Together, we carefully mapped out every detail — from the exact location in the vineyard, to the angle I would be hiding at, to the precise moment I would step out with my camera. The anticipation was high, but when the time came, everything went perfectly.

The proposal was a success! Surrounded by the vineyard’s romantic atmosphere, she said “yes” with the biggest smile. After the emotional moment, Camp Lucy’s team had prepared a bottle of wine for the couple to celebrate. We then explored the grounds together, capturing their joy among the vineyard rows, under the evening light, and in front of the property’s beautiful backdrops.
