This Family Session at Mueller Lake Park in Austin was filled with gentle morning light, quiet scenery, and the warmest connection from this sweet family.

At the end of October, I photographed a lovely family session in one of my favorite parks here in Austin.This family has been working with me since last year and has kindly returned for multiple sessions. Their bright, beautifully coordinated outfits always bring such a fresh and uplifting energy to the photos, and it is always a joy to see them again.

This time of year brings a soft, comfortable atmosphere to the park. The colors feel calm, the air is refreshing, and there is a gentle seasonal shift that adds a natural charm to the backdrop. We met on a quiet weekday morning, which allowed us to take our time and enjoy a relaxed flow throughout the session.

One of the sweetest parts was noticing how much the children had grown.The younger sibling, who couldn’t walk during last year’s session, was happily exploring on foot this time. The older sister has become even more confident and brought so much bright energy to each moment.

As a photographer, it means so much when families continue to trust me with their memories. Witnessing their growth year after year, and capturing these small but meaningful transitions, feels incredibly special.
